Simplicity

Hey y'all, soooo usually I express my emotions and opinions visually as in photographs or paintings, so I am going to try and use this blog to actually write about what I'm thinking, it's going to be tough for a few reasons, I suck as spelling and sentence structure, tend to ramble and make no sense, but practicing is all I can do at this point. So here I go..

Life to me can be simplified down to the bare essentials: physical and mental well-being, shelter, warmth, clothing, water, and food. Which is one of the reason's I love to explore and adventure out into the wilderness, to be out in God's land that he created, It's hard for me to really see God in the material world that we live in the city, where clothes are for style and your hair and make-up is what you look like instead of your smile; everyone has headphones on and iphones connected to their hands. But when the wind is breezing by your face and your on top of a mountain looking out at the the far horizon, surprised by site of an animal in the wild, the silence and music of nature is in your ears and a walking stick in your hands, that's when I truly feel connected to God. During a quest or adventure we learn to observe, to think, to reach inside ourselves for new resources for dealing with challenging and unfamiliar situations. We build up our personal strengths, and at the same time we interact with and learn about the world around us. In primitive living, we physically leave the contemporary world. We journey into the world of stone-age skills, and we return with knowledge, wisdom, and a stronger feeling of God within us.
